We'd like to acknowledge some of the volunteers who have donated their time and talent to do wonderful work for us.
Thank you to the wonderful team from Home Depot: James Argo, Chris Dill, Frank Manning
& Joe Conrad! They added bead board wainscoting to the kitchen and crown molding and
hidden hooks to the other rooms to help us get ready for an upcoming special event!!
Thanks also to Joe Esposito who set up the resource center!

Agilent is back with us again! Planting our rose bushes with great attention to detail!
They are also coming to visit us monthly to help maintain our gardens for our members
who enjoy the walk through the gardens on their visits to us.

Pat Whittaker volunteers at our Sussex office helping out with administrative tasks.
She also attends Community Outreach events to help create awareness about Cancer Support
Community Delaware and our free cancer support programs.

Our new friends from ING Direct come to us with the help of Board Member Alexis Kenny
and her husband Chris who works for ING. The pictures below are from April, May and
June 2010. They have helped us bring the gardens to life, and they sparkle from their
attention. Thank you ING!

Reber Whitner (pictured far right) is a program volunteer at the Sussex facility.
He is a cancer survivor and a certified Yoga instructor. He gives back to the
community by leading a Yoga class designed especially for men.

In November 2009 our neighbors from Agilent came and prepared our gardens for the
harsh winter months, which at that time we had no idea it was to be so hard on our
gardens! They made a great impact on our gardens assisted by our Board member, Rob
Pizalla.

In September 2009 our friends from Astra Zeneca came and assisted us not just one day
but two and helped prepare our gardens for fall!

Imagine our surprise when we got a call from Home Depot asking if there was anything
they could do to help us? Imagine a new kitchen floor and painted cabinets, carpeting
for our cold stairs, repainted mind body room and upstairs! Imagine that they’ll be
coming out again...
