The Kent County facility is located in a pleasant and welcoming home at 812 South Bradford Street in Dover, Delaware. The location is convenient for people touched by cancer as it is located right next door to Bayhealth Medical Center. In fact, the building where patients receive their chemotherapy and radiation treatment is located adjacent to this site. We invite you to stop in and meet Jan who will give you a tour of our cozy support group rooms, adorable kitchen, comfortable sunroom and spacious tai chi and yoga rooms.

10th Anniversary Brunch

It's been 10 years! The Kent County branch of the Cancer Support Community, formerly The Wellness Community, opened its doors in 2002. Since then, we have been honored to be able to provide programs of education, support, and hope free of charge to people in Kent County touched by cancer. This year, on April 15, 2012 we will be celebrating our ten year anniversary with a brunch taking place at the Sheraton Dover Hotel honoring the memory of Roy Klein who was so paramount in getting us where we are today. We will also be honoring an influential member of the medical community in addition to a current participant of the Cancer Support Community.

Please join our Strides for Hope Team for 2012 as you raise funds and awareness for Cancer Support Community Delaware in Disney - Orlando, Florida in September. You will commit to raising funds for our organization to help support free programs for people diagnosed with cancer. All funds raised in Delaware stay in Delaware!

Thursdays at 6pm
This professionally facilitated weekly group is open to anyone who has been touched by cancer and their caregiver. Please call 734-0898 to register.
Man to Man, Brother to Brother
Fourth Saturday of the month at 10am
This group is open to men diagnosed with prostate cancer. The group will focus on issues inherent in African American men, but is open to anyone.
Meditation
Wednesdays at 3pm
Experience the health benefits of meditation and how it reduces stress and enhances breathing, focus and relaxation.
Southern Delaware Prostate Cancer Support Group
Third Wednesday of the month at 7pm
This active group is open to anyone that has been touched by prostate cancer and their loved ones. The groups meets at Kent General on odd-numbered months; and at Milford Memorial Hospital on even-numbered months.
T'ai Chi
Mondays at 5pm
Milford Senior Center
Integrate mind, body and spirit using techniques developed by the ancient Chinese. You feel revitalized by T'ai Chi's relaxing, rhythmic movements.
T'ai Chi

T'ai Chi centers and relaxes with gentle movement and breathing techniques.
Wings of Hope
First Saturday of the month at 10am
The Breast Cancer Survivors Group is open to anyone who has been touched by breast cancer and would like to network with others who have or are experiencing the same issues.

Wednesdays at 5:30pm
Increase your flexibility and strength, reduce stress, and enhance relaxation using gentle Yoga techniques.
